Week 5 - Water
I had plenty of options for this week's WATER theme - after all, I do live near the sea! Nevertheless, wanting to be more creative, I grabbed my bottle of Diesel aftershave and set about producing splashes in order to construct an image like those seen in commercials. As I was not able to access my studio space, I set up this shot in the bathroom. Well, you do what you have to - "Improvise, Adapt, Overcome" (to quote Clint Eastwood).
Week 6 - Silhouette
I don't tend to photograph silhouettes that much, even less so at 7am. This shot is of Ben Harvey (a fellow photographer and morning masochist) who was busy photographing the sunrise at low tide.
Week 7 - Low Angle
The Tempodrom is a spectacular building in Berlin. This week's theme came up while I was working there and, luckily for me, the choices were abundant. This is just one of many possible shots.
Week 8 - Numbers
I had an idea for this concept but I wasn't exactly sure where I was going to take it. Photographing your own eye with a macro lens is not an easy thing to do, but I was happy with my shot and that was my starting point. Adding in the barcode and the image - Eye-dentity came to life.
