Huckleberry Hair Salon
Having worked alongside The Blue Room on the Brighton Rock'ed shoot, I was very pleased when Rebecca Cook (the manager) contacted me and asked if I would photograph her latest venue: The Huckleberry Hair and Beauty Boutique.
Huckleberry Hair and Beauty Boutique was opened in April 2011, by Rebecca and her daughter Alex. They provide a friendly, modern and welcoming salon for Seaford and the surrounding community, where you don't have to pay city prices to look and feel great. The venue has a different look and feel to its sister salon, The Blue Room, yet still offers high quality services and products.
At Huckleberry you, the client, are the most important person in the salon, whether you are having your hair styled or a beauty treatment. The team at Huckleberry pride themselves on listening carefully to your needs and wishes, and on treating you as an individual. All the staff are bubbly, open and friendly which is great, and they immediately put me at ease so I could photograph them doing what they do best.
One key element the salon is keen to promote is personal development, as this leads to a happy workplace. Whether it's creative training, quality or customer care, the whole team is involved in an ongoing development and improvement programme so they can continually offer the best client service.
Huckleberry Hair and Beauty Boutique has an in-house beauty therapist, who offers a range of pampering services, and the fantastic stylists work wonders on your luscious locks.
The images I took are to populate their soon-to-be-launched website. In the meantime, the Huckleberry Hair and Beauty Boutique is currently running a competition giving you the chance to win a whole year's celebrity-worthy pampering - absolutely free!
